Overview

Lucia is one of the two protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI and the first female protagonist in the mainline GTA series. She forms a Bonnie-and-Clyde dynamic with Jason, and the two can be seamlessly switched between in single-player mode. This setup breaks GTA's long tradition of single male protagonists and responds to years of community calls for more diverse gender narratives in the series.

The trailer opens with Lucia in a prison scene, establishing her criminal background and tonal foundation — she was incarcerated for robbery. Methodical and deliberate, she contrasts sharply with Jason's impulsiveness, making the dual-protagonist switch not just a mechanical feature but an organic part of the narrative rhythm.
